You know when you wake up (or not due to hardly getting any sleep at all the night before) and you think about what you have to do for the day, give the clock the stink-eye, and curse your kingdom for just one more minute of peace before all hell breaks lose (aka going to work)? Yeah, today was a big, fat NOPE. I’m the Queen of Cranky when I don’t get enough sleep. Luckily, I was so busy I didn’t have too much time to really dwell on how tired and blah I felt.
I’m starting to take a pair of shoes to work for when I take the boot off during work hours. I did wear it this morning along with the token Merrell hiking shoe that’s been on repeat like a broken record with my outfits lately. I may not even vary my shoe selection all that much while I’m still rehabbing my leg.
Today’s outfit is as boring and functional as they come. This is perfectly acceptable for the office – lucky me. Shirt: Grand Teton Nat’l Park, bought in the park – old. Jeans: Grana -no longer available. Shoes: Lems Primal 2.
These shoes are one of the most comfortable pairs I own. Technically, I shouldn’t be wearing a barefoot style shoe like this while in recovery, but I’m not walking around too much. Plus, the heels don’t dig into my ankle like my other running shoes do so I’d rather have the flat minimalist shoe versus something pinching my Achilles. Also, I just love how red they are, which is really surprising since I’m not a huge fan of red, but I wanted something different when I bought these. I used to call them my clown shoes, but now they are just my comfy shoes.
